Frequently Asked Questions

Are these supplements safe?

Although allergies and reactions have been recorded for a few herbs that are widely used in foods and supplements, such individual concerns are also seen with many foods, and do not diminish the safety profile of the many herbs that are generally recognized as safe. Additionally, the safety of herbal products as a general class has been well established by both their long history of traditional use worldwide and by their broad contemporary use by a significant proportion of the population.  There are so few credible reports of unexpected side effects due to herbal products that most experts consider problems with herbal products to be of only minor or occasional concern. Are they effective?

The decision to use herbs for their health promoting value is, as with all health decisions, a personal one. There are, however, many good reasons to consider herbal products as complements to your own health care. The best reason, however, may be the fact that herbs and herbal products, with their incredibly wide use throughout time and place, continue to provide real health benefits while maintaining a remarkable safety profile. Readily available natural substances were the first medicines used by humans. Primitive and ancient civilizations as well as contemporary cultures throughout the world have always relied on herbs to provide the benefits that have been observed with their use. In fact, the World Health Organization has estimated that 80 percent of the world's population continues to use traditional therapies, a major part of which are derived from plants, as their primary health care tools.

In our own time and culture, most herbs are available in the form of "herbal supplements."These products are found in the form of teas, tablets, capsules, liquid extracts, and others. We now have ready access to products that bring the herbal traditions from all over the world in a variety of convenient forms. In addition, scientific inquiries continue to develop our knowledge of the benefits of plants, and often validate the observations made over the past centuries.  (Source)

Are there side effects, interactions or precautions?

Taking herbal supplements can have a major effect on your body.  And despite efforts to choose ingredients that are not only highly effective, but low on negative side effects or interactions, there still may be allergies or other drug interactions.  If are you concerned, please see the links below for each ingredient.  You will be directed to WebMd, where you will see any purported side effects or drug interactions.  The main concerns overall would be for those that take blood sugar medications, as many ingredients may affect blood sugar levels.   Other concerns may include people with blood clotting disorders.  In regard to cancer patients, there is no evidence to show that these ingredients interact with chemotherapy, and may help protect the body during radiation therapy and surgery.  Please consult your physician if you have concerns.

For the majority, side effects will be minimal, if any, and may include a detoxification effect within the first week of use.  Signs of detoxification include nausea, headache, and generalized fatigue..  This is a sign that toxins are leaving the body.  Increase water intake and these effects will wear off in 2-3 days. The benefits of the supplements will start to emerge after the first week of continued use.
The ingredients have all been used in food preparation and medicine for centuries, some even thousands of years. The supplements contain small amounts of each ingredient.  Taking more than directed is not necessarily better, however, an overdose is not likely if taken in double, triple or even quadruple amounts.  Keep in mind that all ingredients help to boost the body’s defenses and immune system.  As with any food or medication, moderation is key to bringing the most benefit to the body.  Please consult your physician if you have concerns.

The following Information Provided by WebMd

GOLD BLEND

SILVER BLEND

Are the supplements Organic, Vegan, Non-GMO?

The supplements are made from ingredients that are sourced through companies that provide the highest quality herbs.  Most of the time, that means the ingredients are Certified Organic and non-GMO.  On occasion, there may be an item that cannot be verified organic, as they are only available outside the United States and do not follow US guidelines.  Yes, it is still safe, however, it cannot be labeled as “Certified Organic”.  Assurance for the best product is the highest priority, and all ingredients are non-GMO.

The supplements are made in 100% vegetable capsules, and all ingredients in the GOLD BLEND are Vegan.  The SILVER BLEND contains one ingredient that is not Vegan, Taurine.  This essential amino acid comes from meat or fish and is crucial for the human body to function.  Many Vegans or Vegetarians still require this important amino acid.  All other 11 ingredients in the two supplements, as well as the capsule, are all Vegan.

Can I take these with my other vitamins and supplements?

Yes, you can.  However, keep in mind that these ingredients are superfoods and contain many of the vitamins or compounds found in other over the counter supplements.  For example, Black Seed (ingredient in the Gold Blend), contains Omega-3 fatty acids as well as Magnesium.  And Mangosteen, as well as Dandelion Root, contain healthy levels of Vitamin C.  So, while it's safe to take these supplements with other over the counter herbs or vitamins, it may not be necessary.  The amounts of vitamins and nutrients found in the GOLD and SILVER BLENDS are small amounts, and daily recommended values have not been established, as most of these ingredients are herbs or plants used in food consumption or preparation.  The benefit of taking the supplements is found in long term use to increase overall health, boost the immune system, increase circulation, increase mental focus and energy, reduce inflammation and balance the alkalinity within the body.

How are these supplements made?

The supplements are made following the guidelines provided by the FDA, and made compliant with the Common Good Manufacturing Process.

Can I take these supplements during Chemotherapy or Radiation?

Yes.  One of the biggest questions cancer patients ask is, "Can I take supplements during chemotherapy or radiation?"  And Oncologists typically have the response that many substances, mainly antioxidants, may interfere with treatment by helping cancer cells stay alive.  This is not true and has been a misconception for decades now.

Studies have repeatedly proven that the use of herbal supplements and antioxidants increases response to treatment and survival.  That's one of the reasons that Cancer Treatment Center of America is so much more successful than the standard Oncologist.  They integrate traditional medicine with the use of nutrition and herbal supplementation.

There are hundreds of studies that prove that using supplements during cancer treatment can indeed help cancer patients by extending their life, and in many cases, sending their cancer into remission.

"Since the 1970s, 280 peer-reviewed in vitro and in vivo studies, including 50 human studies involving 8,521 patients, 5,081 of whom were given nutrients, have consistently shown that non-prescription antioxidants and other nutrients do not interfere with therapeutic modalities for cancer. Furthermore, they enhance the killing of therapeutic modalities for cancer, decrease their side effects, and protect normal tissue. In 15 human studies, 3,738 patients who took non-prescription antioxidants and other nutrients actually had increased survival."

However, before taking, please consult your physician.
